Kilmore GAA celebrate Ladies title win

Senior Team

This Sunday our King & Moffat sponsored senior team begin the Championship campaign when we travel to Johnstown to take on Clann na nGael at 3.45pm. We wish our players and management the best of luck and we would encourage as much support as possible to make the trip.

Junior Team

Our junior team suffered their 1st defeat of 2017 on Sunday last when a late Kilbride goal saw us defeated by 1 point.

Ladies Football

Pride of the parish this week goes to our U-16 girls team of Kilmore/Elphin who had a great win the Division 2B County Final on Monday last. Well done to all the players on this fantastic win and well done to the management of JJ McWeeney, Josie Munnelly & John Paul Murray.
Our U-12 girls team have completed the Northern league and are now preparing for championship action this weekend.

Underage

On Wednesday last our U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels defeated St Faithleachs in a semi final playoff. Then on Saturday evening last the put up a might display in the League semi final to defeat St Ciarans and have now qualified for the U-16 league final. The U-16 final is fixed for this Friday evening at 7.30pm in Elphin against Kilglass/St Barrys.

Our minors made it 3 wins in a row with a good win over St Ciarans on Thursday evening last. This evening (Wednesday) our minors play Tulsk in Tulsk at 7pm in the league semi final.

On Saturday last our U-12 team also won their 3rd game in a row by defeating Padraig Pearses. Our U-12 team are in action again this Friday when they play St Brigids in Kilmore at 7.30pm.

Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels play Elphin/Ballinameen in Elphin at 7pm.

On this Saturday morning our U-8 & U-10 team host the second blitz of the year in Kilmore getting underway at 11am.

Congratulations

Well done to Carrick On Shannon Community School who won the Connacht Colleges Final on Tuesday last against St Muredachs from Ballina. Our Club was represented by a number of players and well done to each one of them.

Well done to our U-12 player Niall Holohan who captained the Sligo/Leitrim U-13 team in the Sligo Super Cup where they played some of the top teams in Ireland & England.

Well done to our own Ben Donohue who won a fantastic prize for the Kilmore Senior team of a training session with the Connacht Rugby Coach Pat Lam.

Kilmore GAA 50/50 Draw

This week’s Draw takes place on Sunday night at 10pm in Brackens, Hillstreet. Envelopes cost just €2 each or 3 for €5 and are on sale throughout the parish. Clare Connellan’s team are on selling duty.
