The Roscommon Children and Young People’s Services Committee are hosting a series of free LGBT Awareness Workshops throughout the county during May.
The Workshops are the latest step in the LGBT Friendly Roscommon Strategy which was launched last month. Each Workshop will run for approximately 90 minutes and one of the main aims is to set out simple and practical steps that can help service providers, community organisations and sporting clubs to be more LGBT friendly.
The details of the Awareness Workshops are as follows:
– Ballaghadeereen on Wednesday, 10th May at 10.30am
– Roscommon on Wednesday, 17th May at 10.00am
– Boyle on Wednesday, 17th May at 10.30am
– Castelrea on Thursday, 18th May at 10.00am
– Monksland on Tuesday, 23rd May at 7.30pm
The workshops will be facilitate by members of the Roscommon Children and Young People’s Services Committee, the HSE and Foróige. Spaces are limited so places and the advice is to book in advance. An expression of interest form can be downloaded here and completed forms can be emailed to [email protected] . Where demand exceeds places, every effort will be made to deliver further workshops.
