Good Win For Ladies

The girls continued the good form in the second half, and won by 5 points in the end on a scoreline of St Barry’s 2-11, Boyle 1-9.

League Win For St Barry’s Men: St Barrys 2-16 Elphin B 1-11

St Barry’s recorded a hard earned eight point win over Elphin B in the Tansey Cup this afternoon. Elphin had the better of the midfield exchanges in the first half, and led when full forward Fox fisted to the net, but St Barry’s rallied, and the teams went in level at half time, St Barry’s 0-9 Elphin B.
The game turned in St Barry’s favour in the first attack of the second half, when Diarmuid Walsh was fouled in the square, and John Murtagh dispatched the ball to the net. It was a lead they never relinquished, in spite of Elphin coming to within a point on a couple of occasions. A series of late scores for St Barry’s, including a late Murtagh goal, rounded off a workmanlike display against a hardworking Elphin B side.
