A retirement function was recently held for Dolores Flynn in Hannon’s Hotel, Roscommon to mark her distinguished career with Roscommon VEC and Galway Roscommon ETB.
A large number of past and present colleagues attended the function and a number of presentations were made. Dolores Flynn commenced her public service career just directly out of her old Alma Mater, Ballaghaderreen Vocational School to the position of Clerk Typist with the V.E.C on 1st February, 1972. She moved up through the various grades to Clerical Officer, Staff Officer, Senior Staff Officer and eventually to the position of Administrative Officer in 2003.
