On the field
Our minor side had two games last week. They drew against Western Gaels on Tuesday, 3-5 to 1-11. They were then narrowly beaten by St Dominics on Sunday, on a scoreline of 3-13 to 3-11.
Our Under 16 Lads had a good 6 point win over neighbours St Faithleach’s on Thursday night. Well done lads, a very good performance, and a well earned 4-12 to 3-9 win.
Our Under 16 Girls had an excellent win in Frenchpark on Sunday, securing their place in the Division 3 Championship semi final. In a tough and at times robust encounter, the Barry’s girls played some excellent football, winning out on a 3-19 to 4-5 scoreline. The Semi-final is provisionally fixed for this coming weekend.
Our Adult Ladies travelled to South Leitrim this morning, to face Cloone/Gortletheragh in a challenge. In a good work out for both sides, the Barry’s girls won narrowly in an encouraging performance. The girls are down to face Boyle in the league this weekend. Thanks to the Cloone/Gortletheragh club for hosting the game.
