Carrick Golf Club Spring League
At this rate it will be mid summer before we get Spring League finished ! The weather continues to disrupt the schedule, as we are down to the final two rounds we will run the singles and 4 Man scramble simultaneously up until Sunday 2nd April, which means teams can play 4 Man Scramble on one day & Singles on the next or vice versa. The Club 4 Some Qualifier will not take place this weekend but on a further date TBA.
Tommy Flynn RIP
It was with great sadness we learned of Tommy’s death on Sunday 12th March following an accident on his farm. Tommy was a very active Member of the club, never missing a weekend competition regardless of weather and was always on hand to make up a four-ball or to fill a team for a classic, he will be sorely missed. To Anna his wife, his twin daughters Aoife & Caoimhe and his extended family, we extend our heartfelt sympathy. Ar dheis De go raibh Anam.
St Patrick’s Weekend Open
Like so much of St Patrick’s weekend our Weekend Open fell foul to the weather and was cancelled.
US Masters Challenge
The ever popular Carrick Golf Club US Masters challenge is up and running for the annual Augusta Green Jacket which takes place from 6 / 9 April. The challenge can be played on line at www.carrickgolfclub.ie
Captain’s Drive In
The Captain’s Drive In has been re-scheduled for Sun 9 April shotgun start at 3pm.
