Following on from the very popular Invasive Species/Japanese Knotweed and Pollinators Workshops held last year, Roscommon County Council with the support of the Heritage Council, is delighted to provide another FREE opportunity for anyone who missed out last year to come along to the annual Roscommon Tidy Towns Seminar which takes place in Áras an Chontae on Friday March 31st.

“Attendees will hear about how to manage Japanese Knotweed and how to promote pollinators”, said Nollaig Feeney, Heritage Officer.
The schedule for the event is as follows:

10.00am–10.45am  Invasive Species and Japanese Knotweed by Sharon Eastwood, National Tidy Towns Adjudicator & Director of Woodrow Environmental Consultants

10.45 am –11am     Tea /Coffee Break

11am -12 noon        Local Communities: Actions to Help Pollinators by Dr. Erin Jo Tiedeken, Project Officer for the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan,  National Biodiversity Data Centre

12 noon–1.15 pm    Tidy & Sustainable Communities by Sharon Eastwood, National Tidy Towns Adjudicator.
   
1.15pm -2pm           Lunch.           
                             
2.00pm-2.30pm       Launch of An Taisce National Spring Clean in Loughnaneane Park by Mr. Denis Naughten T.D. Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment.
