Two men have been arrested following a high speed pursuit on the N4 after a Car and Van were stolen from a house in Boyle in the early hours of this morning.
The alarm was raised after a house in the Forest Park Manor estate was broken into after 1am and the keys of the vehicles were stolen.
The Car and Van made their way towards Dublin via the N4 and were spotted over an hour later.
Following a pursuit in the Mullingar area the Car was abandoned and the driver was arrested and is being detained in Mullingar. Later the stolen Van was stopped following a chase by Gardai. The driver was arrested and is being detained in Lucan Garda Station
