Gaelic Football

Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown booked their place in the All-Ireland Post Primary C Football Championship Final with a 2-10 to 1-10 win over St Augustines, Dungarvan on Saturday. They will face Muinebheag Vocational School Bagenalstown in the Final.

Meanwhile, an under-strength Roscommon Minor Football Team suffered a 0-10 to 2-13 defeat to Mayo in the Connacht League.

Hurling

A depleted Roscommon Senior Team were well beaten by Derry. Read Robert McConn’s report here.

Camogie

The County Minor Camogie Team defeated Carlow by 4-7 to 1-5 in the All-Ireland C Championship on Saturday. Report here.

The County Junior Team was defeated by Kerry on a score line of 2-7 to 0-8.

Ladies Football

Michael Glaveys and Roscommon player Joanne Cregg was part of the University Of Limerick team who won the O’Connor Cup and clubmate Rona Burke played with UCD as they captured the Moynihan Cup. Kilbride’s Rochelle Mullaney was named “Player of the Final” after helping GMIT win the Lagan Cup. Éire Óg’s Rebecca Finan was on the DCU 2 team which won the Giles Cup.

Rugby

Buccaneers RFC suffered a 12-13 defeat to UCC in the Ulster Bank League Division 1B. They still remain on top of the table. Report here.
