Calling all Roscommon writers: You are invited to celebrate National Poetry Day at lunchtime, in Boyle, Ballaghaderreen and Roscommon libraries.
National Poetry Day takes place on Thursday 27th April and events will be held in the three libraries at 1.30pm that day. Light refreshments provided, and all are welcome.
The theme this year is “movement, migration, and home” and you can get involved. For a chance to have your poetry displayed in your favourite library, please submit one or two poems to [email protected] during the month of March.
Tell the organisers which library you use, and include the title of the poem, your name on the poem itself, and if you’re a younger person give your age and school too. Poems can also be handed in to your local librarian.
These events are part of Roscommon County Council’s Literary Development Programme.
