Cloonfad United 0-1 Carbury FC
Our first team will kick themselves for not getting the better of Carbury earlier today (Sunday) in the Connacht Junior Cup. Arriving with a huge reputation Carbury were lucky to escape Cloonfad with a 1-0 win. We started well and Shaun Kearney and Andy Glennon almost put us in front. Early in the second period both Stephen Cunningham went close and Shane O’Malley really should have scored from a free header 4 yards out. Our wastefulness was made to pay on 83 minutes when Carbury scored a sloppy goal to advance to the last 16. Thanks to all for their efforts.
