Roscommon Weather Wind Warning Storm Doris

Storm Doris left a trail of devastation in her wake in the early hours of this morning with utilities and traffic being affected throughout the county.

There have been reports of trees being uprooted, utility polls snapped in two, roads blocked but thankfully no injuries.
1,000s of homes throughout Roscommon, from Arigna to Creagh were without electricity today due to the effects of Storm Dorris which passed over Ireland before dawn.

At the time of writing, 7:30pm, 100s of homes in Ballinlough, Lisacul, Fairymount, Scramogue, Ballyfarnon remain effected.
Phone services were also out of action in some locations throughout the day, (which resulted in reduced coverage by RoscommonDaily.com today).
There is currently no national weather warning in place however forecast is set to remain unsettled.
