Kilbride draw with Ballinameen in League opener

On Friday Kilbride played their opening league game against Ballinameen. In a game of two halves Kilbride who with a strong breeze at their backs eventually got on top and eight points from Henry Walsh left Kilbride leading by 0-11 to 0-03 at the break. Balinameen were quick out of the blocks in the second half with four unanswered points in six minutes. The games only goal came in the 54th minute when the ball hit the Kilbride net to leave just three points between the teams. Balinameen kept the pressure on right till the end and earned a deserved draw. Kilbride does Strictly

We have three more Strictly fundraisers next weekend. On Friday Laura McCormack has a bowling night in Ros Bowl and Dara Feely has a sponsored wax in Glancy’s in Carrick and on Saturday Paul Clabby hosts ‘Take Me Out’ in The Red Parrot. Thanks for all your support so far, it’s much appreciated.

County Ladies Players

Well done to the Tara, Alice, Eilish, Rochelle and the Roscommon Intermediate ladies who drew with Meath in their round 2 game in the National league in Dunganny Co Meath on Sunday. Next up they face Down next Saturday in Kilglass at 2pm. Please come and support the team on the day .

Ladies Training

Our Senior and Junior ladies continue to train regularly as do our U 16 team whose league starts in two weeks time. As always all players are asked to make a special effort to attend training.
