Shannon Gaels 0-14 St Barrys 1-8

The St Barrys Adult Men were beaten by a sharper Shannon Geals outfit in the first game of the Division 3 League on Croghan on Sunday last. The teams were evenly matched in the first half, but Shannon Gaels were a lot sharper in front of goal, leading by 10 points to 1 at half-time. The introduction of Declan Cox and Anthony McGowan added impetus to the St Barry’s attack in the second half, but the gap was too wide to bridge, and we lost out by 3 points in the end.
