Senator Frank Feighan has welcomed funding approval from the Department of Education for new facilities at Glenamaddy and Tibohine primary schools.
Commenting on the news Senator Frank Feighan said “Funding has been approved for a new ASD Unit at St Joseph’s National School in Glenamaddy. The facilities will include a classroom, en-suite toilet/shower area and an office.
“Tibohine National School in West Roscommon has also got the funding go-ahead for a new Special Education Teacher (SET) room.
“These funding allocations represent great news for the Glenamaddy and Tibohine schools and works will proceed once the tendering process has been completed.
“Projects such as these also help to stimulate economic activity by supporting jobs in the local economy.
“This welcome funding for both schools has been sanctioned by the School Building Unit at the Department of Education” he concluded.
