Buccaneers prepare for ‘Lip Sync’ Battle

The final preparations are under way for Buccaneers take on “Lip Sync Battle” which takes place in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone this Friday, February 17th

“Lip Sync Battle – Buccs Fizz Style” features 16 acts and should provide fun and entertainment in abundance for all the family. Athlone lady Niamh Donohoe is leading the choreography of all the participants and she is highly impressed with their dedication and enthusiasm.

Well known comedian and impersonator Alan Short will host the event and a trio of celebrity judges will be revealed on the night! Tickets are now on sale at The Bounty, the Sheraton Hotel or by contacting Buccaneers ever-willing Administrator Geraldine Kenny at 0861732711 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily. “Lip Sync Battle – Buccs Fizz Style” starts at 8pm with doors open from 7pm.

Club president Eddie Walsh, recent Buccaneers Senior captain Martin Staunton and dapper Bounty barman Kevin Griffith are among those participating and will be appearing like you have never seen them before! Buccs U-20’s, U-18’s, U-16’s, Womens and Girls teams are among the 16 acts in the show which also features a number of prominent local personalities.

Buccaneers field 20 teams from Minis all the way up to Senior level, which undertakes a massive financial commitment every year. This is the club’s main fund-raiser this season and all support will be greatly welcome, so book your tickets early to guarantee yourself a super night’s entertainment next Friday.
