Congratulations to St Dominics GAA Club who have brought great pride to the county and province by winning the Leiriu title at the Scór na nÓg All-Ireland Finals in Belfast yesterday.
The young group put on a great dramatic and humorous performance to win the title. Based on “Finn McCool” and the Salmon of Knowledge and it also involves appearances from Louis Walsh, Donald Trump and Kim Karadashian!
St Dominic’s club have a great tradition in Scór and they are very passionate about promoting our Irish culture. It is importance to point out that their dramatic piece was written by Zoe Finan, a young lady from the club who has represented St Dominics in previous All-Ireland’s as a performer. A large group consisting of family members and supporters travelled to the Waterfront Theatre in Belfast to cheer on their team and a huge party was held on their return. Hard luck to the Elphin team who represented the county in the Table Quiz at Finals. Conor Gunn, Emmet Keane, Luke and Evan Gunn did their club & county proud.
