Roscommon Ladies Football

Following the inter-county action of recent weeks the Roscommon Ladies Football focus turns to Club activity with the commencement of the adult leagues this weekend.

Kilbride are defending Division One champions and will hope to repeat the heroics of 2016. The begin their defence with an away tie against Western Gaels. Newly promoted Kilglass Gaels open their season with a home fixture against Strokestown, and the last fixture in Division One sees old rivals Clann nA nGael and St Bridgids do battle in kiltoom.

Below are the complete set of weekend fixtures. All games are scheduled for 12pm on Sunday and the first named team has home advantage.

Division 1:
Western Gaels v Kilbride
St.Brigids v Clann na nGael
Kilglass Gaels v Strokestown.

Division 2
Oran v Ballinameen
St.Ciarans v Michael Glaveys
Padraig Pearses v Eire Og

Division 3
Shannon Gaels v Roscommon Gaels
St.Dominics v Boyle
St Barry’s V St Faithleachs

Division 4
St Marys V Kilmore

Underage Update

Our minor girls played Athlone IT in a very attractive challenge last Tuesday 31st in Athlone GAA grounds and then played Longford on Saturday last. These games were part on the final trial process for this squad as management draw up their final squad. Best of luck to all involved.
Our U14’s play Monaghan in a very attractive friendly this Saturday in Monaghan and our U16’s play Offaly in a challenge in Johnstown on Saturday 18th at 3pm.

Fixtures for all inter county teams are now unloaded on the Connacht LGFA website.
