Gardaí in Castlerea are seeking the public’s assistance following the theft of a Kobelco Mini-Digger from the Roscommon County Council compound in Castlerea yesterday.
The facility is located at Ballindrimley, at the Junction of the Castlerea – Frenchpark and Castlerea to Ballinagare Roads. A man, described as being in his fifties and of stocky build, was seen at the compound at approximately 4:15pm.
The 2.8 Tonne Digger, similar to the 2.6 Tonne model shown above, and three Buckets were situated on a Nugent twin-axle Plant Trailer at the time of the incident. A Digger match the description was seen in Strokestown yesterday (Sunday) evening.
