A man remains in a serious condition in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, following an alleged assault in Boyle in the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred at the approximately 4:30am in the Erris Bay Estate, Boyle. The victim, who is in his 40s, was initially brought to Sligo University Hospital but was later transferred to Dublin. A man in his 40s was arrested in relation to the incident and is being detained at Roscommon Garda Station.
