Roscommon County Council have announced that a section of the N60 between Ballinlough and Castlerea is to be closed for over three weeks to facilitate an upgrade of the road surface.
The section of the N60 in question is from it’s junction with the R361 (Williamstown Road) in Castlerea to its junction with the L1603 at Ballinlough (in the village). The pavement upgrade works will be completed at Arm townland, Castlerea and will include 1km of the road.
The closure will come into effect on Monday January 30th and will remain in place until Friday February 24th inclusive.
The following alternative Routes will be in place:
Traffic travelling Westbound will be diverted at Ballymoe along the R360 to Cloonfad via Williamstown and then via the N83 from Cloonfad to Ballyhaunis. Traffic travelling Eastbound will be directed via the reverse route.
