Supercrop1, designed and manufactured by Acres Machinery, Athlone Road, Roscommon has been named “Best New Technological Innovation” and “Best Product” at LAMMA 2017.
LAMMA is the UK’s leading Farm Machinery Equipment, Equipment and Services Show and is being running in Peterbrough.
Supercrop1 is designed to reduce the time and costs involved in the wilting process of hay and silage by combining three processes. It was formally launched at the National Ploughing Championships last September and was named “Machine of the Year” at the event. The product has attracted enquiries from all over the world since.
Acres Machinery is no stranger to Awards. In 2015 the company won the Enterprise Ireland Innovation award for Best Agri-Engineering start-up Business at the National Ploughing Championships.
Company Founder Davie Doran is a Mechanical Fitter and Designer by trade. He has previously developed the “X3” Bale Handler, which provides a more efficient way to handle bales and “Vis-bar” provides for better visibility and a safer environment around tractor mounted equipment.
