New Management for Kilmore GAA, on and off the field

Annual General Meeting

The Kilmore GAA AGM took place on Saturday last in the clubrooms. A good attendance was present with the meeting beginning with Club Secretary Jamie Sharkey reviewing the activities of the Club both on and off the pitch in his annual report. Club Chairman Tommie Kenoy then addressed the meeting and make a very good address to the meeting where he spoke very passionately about Kilmore and also spoke very well about Frank Dennehy.

The following officers were elected for 2017 Presidents : Willie Casserly & Peter Joe Fitzmaurice, Chairperson : Gerry Tiernan, Vice Chairperson : Brian Carroll, Secretary : Jamie Sharkey, Assistant Secretary : Clare Connellan, Treasurer : Jenny Connellan, Assistant Treasurer : Carmelita Caslin, PRO : Brian Carroll, Minor Board Chairperson : Trevor Hunt, Minor Board Secretary : Damien Devaney, Registrar : Gerard Fitzmaurice, Senior Team Manager : Jimmy Langan, Junior Team Manager : Mervyn Foley, Coaching & Development officer : Mark Connellan, Insurance officer : Teresa Kenoy, County Board delegates : Harry Reynolds & Padraig Doyle, Players Rep : Kevin Caslin, Ladies Rep : Jamie Sharkey, Rounders Rep : Nicola Craughwell.
We thank our outgoing Chairperson Tommie Kenoy for his work over the last 3 years. We thank all our officers and wish our new officers the best of luck in 2017. All Reports including the Secretaries report are now on www.kilmoregaa.ie .
We thank Earlys, Hillstreet who provided sandwiches and food after the meeting.

Adult Team Managers confirmed

We wish our new Management team for 2017 the very best of luck. Our new manager is Jimmy Langan from County Sligo and his selectors will be Martin Garvey, Mervyn Foley and Brendan Burke. Our Junior team manager for 2017 is Mervyn Foley and his selectors will be Gerry Garvey and Brian Carroll. We wish the management and teams the best of luck. The Senior league will probably get under way on the weekend of the 17th & 18th of February.

Dinner Dance

The 2017 Kilmore GAA Dinner Dance will take place on Friday the 3rd of February in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick On Shannon. Music on the night will be with the brilliant band Late Night Radio. Special guest on the night will be president of the GAA Aogan O Fearghail. We will have ticket details in next weeks notes. The intermediate champions of 2016 will receive their medals on the night so put the date in your diary.

Well done to the organisers of the fundraising night for the Motor Neuron Association which took place on Saturday night last in the Kilmore Inn.
