The Ballaghaderreen Pilot of the IGNITE CREATIVE Pod was launched at the Creative Communities Igniting Change Conference last July and next month it will take a significant step.
The IGNITE CREATIVE Pod will see 10 potential creative entrepreneurs immersed in a new, free, entrepreneurship programme specifically developed for creatives.
Creative entrepreneurs can work in a wide range of disciplines – from film to fashion, games to software, music to media, advertising to architecture and craft. If you are interested in setting up a business in any of these fields then Pod is exactly the start you need.
10 entrepreneurs will benefit from a multi-faceted learning experience to set up a creative business. The programmes combines:
– expert led workshops,
– mentoring,
– study visits,
– introductions to key development, support and funding agencies,
– FREE collaborative working space for 6 months in Ballaghaderreen
This is a competitive process; the IGNITE CREATIVE Pod want to find creatives with the ambition and a creative business idea that has merit. Where there are challenges (lack of finance, lack of confidence etc), the team at the the IGNITE CREATIVE Pod can try to find practical solutions.
