The body of a man was recovered from the Boyle River this morning following a search by Boyle Fire and Rescue Service and locals.
The alarm was raised after a man was seen entering the water in the Town Centre. The deceased was recovered close to the Boyle GAA Training Pitch on the Sligo Road at approximately 9.30am.
His remains were taken away for a postmortem examination and investigating Gardaí say foul play is not suspected.
