GIRLS MINOR CONNACHT SEMI FINAL
Clann na nGael Minor girls played their Connacht Semi-Final on Saturday 10th December against Corofin in Mountbellew.
It was a great achievement of a very mixed age group of young Clann minor girls to reach a Connacht semi-final. Our panel of girls knew we were up against a strong Corofin team. We played with great skill, determination and team work throughout the game.
Great scoring and defending made for an entertaining match. An absolute great performance of football was played until the bitter end. Great weather conditions added to a very intense game. In the end they were very unlucky to lose out by one point. If the girls keep playing to this standard of football we are in no doubt that Connacht titles for the Clann girls are looming.
Final score was Clann na nGael 2-13 Corofin 3-11.

Team: Eadaoin Lennon, Caoimhe Galvin, Amy Quinn, Megan mc Manus, Ide Crehan, Aine Connaughton, Shauna Connell, Caoimhe Lennon (C), Kara Earle, Kayleigh Shine, Roise Lennon, Kelley Colgan, Sinead, Farrell, Emma Kildea, Danielle Greasley.
Subs: Molly Dolan, Aishling mc Goldrick, Rachel Brien, Aoife o’Neill, Ellie Hewitt, Anna Golden.
