The club wishes to sincerely thank Alan Burns for the time, effort and commitment he put in to managing the club’s Intermediate team this year, leading the lads to the semi-final of the Intermediate Championship, promotion to O’Rourke Cup and a brilliant O’Gara Cup Final win over St. Croans. Sincere thanks also to Francis Hussey and Joe Lenehan for their time and effort all year.

Congratulations to the Scór na nÓg Léiriú team of Nikita Hussey, Shauna Keegan, Shauna Flynn, Amy Collins, Katie Mee, Grace Waldron, Ben Thewlis and Owen Glynn who competed in the county finals in Athlone on Sunday last. Although the honours didn’t come their way this time they can be very proud of a first class performance, with many of the younger members taking to the stage for the first time. Thanks to Alice Mannion for her great work with the Léiriú team.
The club’s Senior and Minor AGM will take place in the clubrooms on Saturday 7th January at 5pm.
Keep Fit Classes for Ladies will continue on Tuesday evenings at 8pm in the clubrooms. Fee €5. All ladies are welcome to attend.
The Fuel Draw will take place on 27th December in Dec’s Bar, Castleplunkett with music by Carmel McLoughlin. First prize: €500 voucher for home heating oil, second prize: a tonne of coal, third prize: a box trailer of turf, fourth prize: a €150 gas voucher sponsored by Barry Miley, Tulsk Fuels/FloGas, fifth prize: 35 bales of briquettes sponsored by Cooney’s Hardward, Elphin, sixth prize: 25 bags of firewood sponsored by Bill Callaghan.
