Roscommon GAA have announced that the Senior Football Team will serve up two “Christmas Crackers” in Kiltoom during the festive season.
Roscommon GAA have lined up two Challenge Games; against Meath on Saturday next December 17th at 7pm and Kildare on Monday January 2 at 2pm.
These games will provide a fantastic opportunity for supporters to watch the Management Team of Kevin McStay, his selectors Liam McHale and Ger Dowd and his new coaching team, as they run the rule over the host of new and returning faces who will be out to impress and make the cut ahead of the FBD Connacht League and Allianz Football League next year.
Admission to each game is €10 and proceeds from the games will be split between the Roscommon GAA Team Training Fund and the “Shalom Centre for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation” in Nairobi, Kenya. This is the charity chosen by team manager Kevin McStay.
Shalom aims to end the cycle of violence and war, primarily in Eastern Africa, through peace-building, human development, and reconciliation.
The Charity was founded in 2009 by Frenchpark native Fr. Padraig Devine, who was a keen footballer and a county medalist with Western Gaels GAA Club.
