The Roscommon Further Education Centre, Lisnamult, Roscommon town will hold two “Hour of Code” Events in December.
The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in over 180 countries. It takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week, which this years runs from December 5th – 11th. The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify “code”, to show that anybody can learn the basics.
The first session at the Roscommon Further Education Centre will be on Monday, December 5th at 3.30pm and the second session will be on Thursday, December 8th at 6pm.
This is of particular interest to people who might be considering studying Programming or Game Design in college, for parents who might like to know more about coding or anyone in the community who would like to try it out. There is no charge for these sessions and all are welcome.
