Cloonfad’s woeful record away to Dysart continued on Sunday as we lost a very tight top of the table clash 2-0. Despite making a good start to the contest we fell behind on 9 minutes due to a lack of concentration in our defence. After that setback we chased an equalizer but it was the home team who should have went in at half time a lot further ahead. Another Dysart goal left us with a mountain to climb half way through the second half. We did get a lifeline when Sean Doyle was fouled in the penalty area but Andy Glennon blasted the spot kick high and wide.
The reserves will struggle against most club’s first team’s and it so proved the case versus Moylough 79 on Friday night as we went down 3-0. The game marked the return of David Keaveney to the Cloonfad colour’s following a horrific leg break in the Connacht last season.
