The lady who died in Hospital yesterday as a result of injuries sustained in a single vehicle collision near Ballymoe on Sunday has been named as Mary Hill, from Ballymahon, County Longford.
The accident occurred at Corrastoona Beg, near Ballymoe, on the N60 Roscommon – Castlerea Road. 87 year old Mrs. Hill was seriously injured when the car she was driving veered off the road and hit a wall at approximately 2.05pm. She was removed to Galway University Hospital and passed away yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
Gardai in Castlerea are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at Castlerea Garda Station on 094 9621630, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
Mrs. Hill’s funeral arrangements are as follows:
Reposing at her residence from 2pm tomorrow, Wednesday, with removal at 7pm to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carrickedmond. Funeral Mass at 11am on Thursday followed by interment in Abbeyshrule Cemetery.
