Johnny O’Neill RIP
The Clann na nGael family and local community were saddened to learn of the passing of Johnny ‘Jago’ O’Neill.
Johnny was laid to rest in Drum Cemetery on Tuesday and the Club formed a guard of honour at his funeral
Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others
Our “Mother’s & Other’s” headed to the Gaelic 4 Mother’s & Other’s National Blitz as sponsored by Lidl in Portmarnock, Dublin on Saturday 15th October.
This is their 4th consecutive year to take part in the blitz where over 1,000 participants from all over Ireland play 5 games each throughout the day.
A very successful day was had, all thanks to Peter, Eoin & Morgan who ensured that all players showed off their weekly training skills on the pitch. The team would like to thank Connaughtons Pub who kindly sponsored the ladies with kit bags.
Minor Men defeated
Padraig Pearses got the better of Clann minors in a semi final which never came alive for our boys. The disappointment was evident afterwards and the realisation that they didn’t give a performance that they are capable of, perhaps makes the loss a little harder to take. The players have given great service to the club throughout the year, but, on the night, Pearses deserved the victory and go on to play St Brigids in the final.
To the lads moving on to adult football, best of luck and many thanks for all their years with the underage set up.
