With just one Mid Western Girls Soccer League competition still to be decided it promises to be an exciting finish to the Westward Scania Under 12 League.
Castlerea Celtic Tigers are just 3 points behind league leaders Strokestown United with the two teams to face each other in the final league game. Castlerea drew 1-1 with Kilkerrin United. Mairead McGann was on target for Kilkerrin with Amy Doory scoring for Castlerea. Castlerea then defeated Ballaghaderreen thanks to two goals from Lily Vickers.
This Saturday sees the Under 12 Connacht blitz take place in Castlebar. Best of luck to both Mid-Western Girls Soccer League representatives – Castlerea Celtic and Strokestown United.
