Food Safety Authority temporarily close four Roscommon eateries

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland have revealed that four food businesses in County Roscommon received temporary closure orders during September.

The Food Safety Authority issued a Closure Order under the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations, 2010 to Big Bites Take Away, Roscommon town. Temporary Closure Orders were served under the FSAI Act, 1998 to Hannons Hotel, Roscommon town (the closed area referred to the kitchen and all food service); Ruby King Restaurant/Café, Roscommon town and the Get Fresh Catering restaurant/canteen at Castlerea Community School. The periods of closures ranged from three days to nine days and all outlets have passed follow-up inspections.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland does not publicise reasons why temporary closure orders are served. Overall, ten food businesses throughout Ireland received closure orders during September. Further details can be viewed here.
