Lough Ree RNLI are hosting an afternoon of activities on, and overlooking, the Shannon this Sunday at the Promenade in Athlone.
It promises to be an action packed day and will also feature rowing races, Jetski stunts, a Publican’s Barrel Race and lots of other fun activities.
Ahead of the first race, which gets under way at 2pm, a Jetski stunt flyer will be performing so don’t be late!
As mentioned above the racing programme kicks off at 2pm with rowing races, followed by the Publican’s Barrel Race from the Luan Gallery across to the Radisson Hotel, and the Raft Race from the Railway Bridge to the town Bridge, via a tricky slalom course.
The Water activities will be followed by live music and a barbecue, kindly sponsored by The Castle Inn, Sean’s Bar, and The Fiddlers pub, will be held outside The Castle Inn. All are welcome to what promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment.
