Boyle GAA update September 28th

Boyle GAA
Under 12s win title

The highlight of the week end has to be the performance of our U12s in comprehensively winning the Division 1 Summer League Final against Roscommon Gaels in wind swept Fuerty on Sunday.
Well done to the entire panel and their management team of Noel Casey, Jim McGrath, Brendan Doherty and Stephen Garavan. Thanks to all parents and supporters who made the trip to the final and provided transport, not just on this occasion, but throughout the entire season. It is greatly appreciated.
Thanks also to Troy Takeaway for providing very welcome food for the boys on their return to the Clubroom.

Boyle GAA Lotto

Joe O’Donnell and Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra were €20 winners in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Daly’s Lounge. The house prize was won by Aidan Farrell. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €1,500 for this Saturday night’s draw which will be held in the Moylurg Inn. Team E will be in charge.

Thanks

To all who provided bags of clothing for the “Cash for Clobber”, thus making it a very successful campaign.

Sunday next will be a very busy day for the Club

The Abbey Park will be the venue for the staging of the 2015 Garda Cup Final when Boyle will play Tulsk at 11.30am. We would appreciate maximum support for our lads in this very attractive final. The 2016 Garda Cup competition will commence on the following weekend. Details will be provided.

Sunday afternoon will see our McGovern Directional Drilling seniors travel to Strokestown to take on St Brigids in the Hodson Bay Hotel Group County Senior Championship Semi Final. This will be Boyle’s first participation in a County Senior Semi-Final in living memory and we again encourage maximum support from the entire community in Boyle and indeed North Roscommon as a whole. We also encourage residents and businesses to put up ther maroon and white flags to show support to the lads and their management.

Keenan Cup

The competition will commence very shortly. Details will be provided.

Ladies Football

The U14 girls play Clann na Gael in the Division 1 championship semi final Friday evening in Johnstown at 7:30pm.
