Intermediate Ladies Team
The Kilrane O’Callaghan & Co sponsored intermediate ladies team travelled to Knockcroghery on Saturday afternoon last to take on Padraig Pearses in the 2016 Intermediate ladies final. On the day Padraig Pearses were the stronger team and secured the title on a final score line of Western Gaels 1-06, Padraig Pearses 2-11. The club would like to thank the players and management for all their efforts and hard work during the yea, the club would all like to thank all our supporters and friends who travelled to watch the team during the year. Men’s Football
U-12 Team
The U-12 team play Tulsk next Saturday in the division 3 championship final. Check fixtures for confirmed details. Please come and show your support for the team who have worked hard all year.
U-16 Team
The Michael Cooney & Sons Ltd sponsored u-16 team have qualified for the division 4 final following a hard fought win over Kilglass/St. Barry’s on Saturday evening last in Boyle. This was a very close end to end and entertaining game with both teams pushing for a place in the final, Western games finally secured the win on a final score of Western Gaels 4-12 Kilglass/St. Barry’s 4-09. They now play St. Michaels in the final.
