After two rounds of matches Castlerea Celtic, Ballymoe FC and Moore United share the lead of the Premier Division of the Roscommon and District Football League.

Title holders Castlerea Celtic beat St Johns Athletic 6 – 2 at Castlerea. Michael Hannon gave St Johns Athletic a shock lead after five minutes but Ronan Curran converted a penalty kick seven minutes later. Peter Farrell and Nathan Bligh added two more for the winners before the break. St Johns pulled a goal back through Ryan O Beirne before Peter Farrell Nathan Bligh and an own goal completed the scoring.
Ballymoe opened their account on their new all weather pitch with a 5 – 0 win over Ahascragh United at Ballymoe. Barry Gaffey gave them an early lead and Adrian Collins added two more before half time. In the second half Matt Tarmey and Cathal Connelly added two more for Ballymoe.
Moore United beat Ballaghaderreen 5 – 0 at Moore. Enda Kenny Mark Nicholson and David Harrington gave the home side a 3 – 0 half time lead and Andy Nevin and Darragh Concannon added two more in the second half.
Ballinasloe Town beat Shiven Rovers 4 – 0 at Newbridge. Mark Duffy and David Grehan in the first Half and David Cullen and Mark Duffy in the second half were the goal scorers.
In the Norio’s Division 1
the Ballinlough side Lough Harps made it two wins out of two when they beat Glen Celtic 2 – 1 at Glenamaddy. Peter Keavney gave Glen Celtic an early lead but Adrian Cregg levelled the game with thirty four played. With Daryl Conneely and Sean Burke in top form Lough Harps scored a winner through Aidan Cregg with eighteen minutes left to play.
C P Ajax beat Ballinasloe Town 3 – 0 at Tarmon. Darren Boyle scored two and Patrick Connolly one for an impressive Castleplunket side.
Kilkerrin United beat Loughglynn United 3 – 0 at Loughglynn. Jason Ward had them 1 – 0 ahead at the break and he added a second and Damien Mahon a third to win all three points.
MD Town beat Rahara Rovers 2 – 1 at Rahara. David Burke and Ryan Fox for the winners and Paul Flaherty scored for Rahara Rovers.
In the Killeen’s Sports Fields Division 2
Strokestown United beat Roscommon United 3 – 0 at Strokestown. David Parker, Padraig O’Beirne and Darren Clabby scored their goals.
Shiven Rovers beat Moore United 3 -2 at Newbridge. Niall Quinn Martin Killalea and Enda Fitzmaurice scored for the winners and Liam Ryan and Thomas Naughton replied for the losers.
Cam Celtic and Skyvalley Rovers drew 2 – 2 at Cam. The visitors went 2 – 0 up thanks to goals from Jack Moore and Stephen Landy. However Kieran Shine and Darren Donnelly scored for the home side
New side Hodson Bay Athletic beat Moylough 3 – 2 at Moylough. Darragh Blane scored two and Manager Cormac Sheehy, one, for the winners while Alan Conway and Alan Cheevers scored for Moylough.
M D Town drew 2 – 2 at home to Castlerea Celtic. Castlerea Celtic came from behind on two occasions with Martin Foster and Noel Flynn scoring their goals. Anthony Broderick scored both goals for the Milltown Dunmore side.
