If you think you coukd sell tickets please contact Barry on 086-8504676.

Junior A Championship Round 5: St. Brigids 2-11, St. Ronans 0-9

Our junior side had a great win over St. Ronan’s on Saturday evening last in Strokestown and secured their place in the quarter finals. Two well taken first half goals from Adrian McHugh and Joey Cunniffe gave us a comfortable lead that we never lost throughout the game. Joey Cunniffe was on top form scoring 1-6 of our 2-11 total. Special mention to Barry Nestor who pulled off some fantastic saves in his first time playing as keeper for Brigids. It was a strong all round performance from our lads.

Senior Championship Round 5: St. Brigid’s 4-16, Castlerea St. Kevin’s 0-6.

Our Hodson Bay Hotel sponsored senior team recorded a comprehensive victory over Castlerea on Saturday last also in Strokestown. This now places us in a county semi final against the winners of Boyle vs St. Faithleach’s on the first weekend in October.
This was an excellent performance by our lads, with two early goals from Brian Stack and Ian Kilbride signalling our intent from the beginning. Castlerea never really got into the game and Brigid’s weren’t looking like they were going to let them.
We would like to wish Niall Collins from Castlerea and our own Cathal McHugh speedy recoveries from injuries they sustained during the game on Saturday.
