Kilbride 3-08 Strokestown 1-10
Huge congratulations to our Senior ladies team on their tremendous victory over Strokestown in the County Senior Semi Final played on Saturday evening in Ballyleague. Kilbride got off to a good start and were 1-02 to 1 point ahead with 8 minutes gone on the clock . Despite having lots of possession poor shooting let Kilbride down whereas Strokestown converted all their scoring chance leaving them 4 points ahead at the half way mark 1-08 to 1-04. A hungry Kilbride team worked tirelessly in the second half and slowly clawed back the deficit In the 19th minute two consecutive goals put Kilbride in the driving seat and they never looked back . There were jubilant scenes at the final whistle as the girls realised they had just made history with the team reaching the clubs first ever Senior Co Final , The Co Final takes place on Saturday 17th September at 5 pm in Knockcroghery against St Brigid’s so please keep this date free to support the team on this historic occasion .Thanks to all the supporters who travelled to Ballyleague on Saturday
