The Office of Public Works are hosting a public event to promote the consultation of the Draft Flood Risk Management Plans (Draft FRMPs) for Roscommon and Westmeath.

The event will be held in the Athlone Civic Centre, Church Street, Athlone tomorrow, Tuesday August 23rd, from 1pm – 2pm. Events will also be held in Carrick on Shannon and Longford town on Tuesday September 6th.
The Draft Plans are available from Áras an Chontae, Roscommon town and from the Roscommon County Council office in Boyle, They can also be viewed on the OPW Website
On Wednesday, September 7th Consultants will be at the Quad Youth Centre to discuss the options for Roscommon town and in the Athleague Community Centre to discuss the proposals for that locality. Both events will run between 2pm and 7.30pm.
€200,000 has recently allocated for six Flood Risk Management throughout Roscommon.
