National Heritage Week takes place from August 20th to 28th and there is lots of things to do in Roscommon during this time including Frenchpark.
On Wednesday 24th & Thursday 25th
From 2pm – 5pm in the Dr. Douglas Hyde Interpretive Centre there’s an exhibition of Dr. Douglas Hyde 1st President of Ireland. Dr. Hyde’s contribution to modern Ireland is traced through the medium of charts, books of his poems, prose, letters and photographs. Through audio-visual material the spirit of his dream is captured.
