There was action at Under 10 and Under 12 level last week in the Mid-Western Girls Soccer League.
In the M2 Sport Under 10 League Kilkerrin United & Glen Celtic played out an enjoyable encounter at Kilkerrin. With plenty of emerging talent on shown for both sides the player of the match was Courtney Parsons.
In the Westward Scania Under 12 League Castlerea Celtic Tigers continued their 100% record with a hard fought 3-1 win over Kilkerrin United. Castlerea’s goals came from Amy Doory (2) & Niamh Hester while Áine Shaughnessy replied for Kilkerrin.
Strokestown United remain in second place following a high scoring 10-4 win over CP Ajax. Tegan Gibbons (4), Clodagh Rogers (4), Shauna Tiernan and Leanne Gibbons were all on target for Strokestown United while CP Ajax scorers were Aisling Hanley (3) & Rigina Kelly.
