St Barrys 1-11 Padraig Pearses B 1-11

A late, converted penalty by Ronan Mitchell salvaged a hard fought draw in the Adult Men’s Division 4 league game against Padraig Pearses this evening. After an even first half, St Barry’s seemed to have wrestled control of the game in the third quarter, but missed scoring chances were punished when a hopeful punt was punched to the Barry’s net. The game became very edgy and fragmented in the last ten minutes, and St Barry’s trailed by 3 points going in injury time. However, a good moved was brought to an end when Declan Cox was fouled with a goal at his mercy, and Mitchell blasted the resultant penalty high into the net with the last kick to tie the game.
