Kilbride Under 12s play in Croke Park!

Our U12 boys travelled to Croke Park on Monday to take part in the Connacht Go Games Day. Kilbride had two teams on the day with both playing three 20 minute matches on the hallowed turf. The team and supporters travelled in style to the venue on the Club Rossie bus and thanks to Enda Walsh for driving it. A great day was had by all.

Kilbride GAA Lotto

The lotto draw will be held in Foxes bar on Saturday when the jackpot will be €2,700.

County Players

Hard luck to Conor Shanagher and the Roscommon minor team who were beaten by a strong Galway outfit in Kiltoom on Wednesday.
Best of luck to Conor Devanney and Henry Walsh and the Roscommon senior football team ahead of the Connacht final against Galway in Salthill on Sunday.

Results and Fixtures

Our intermediate means team suffered a heavy defeat to Michael Glaveys in Ballinlough on Sunday 5-15 to 1-09.

Our junior men’s team were unlucky to lose to Roscommon Gaels on Friday in Lisnamult. Roscommon Gaels 1-16 Kilbride 1-13.

Our minor team will play St Aidan’s in the first round of the championship in Ballyforan on Saturday at 7.30pm.

Our U16’s were unlucky to lose by a single point to Elphin/Ballinameen on Saturday in Kilbride. Kilbride 3-08 Elphin/Balinameen 1-15.

Our U14’s made to two wins from two in the championship when they beat St Faithleach’s 7-08 to 0-09 in Kilbride on Thursday. They travel to Castlerea on Thursday with the throw in at 7.30pm.

Our U12 boys defeated St Dominic’s in Kilbride on Sunday 9-11 to 1-02 in the opening round of the Division 2 summer league. Our Division 6 team play Western Gaels in Frenchpark on Friday.

Ladies

Congrats once again this week to our U 12 girls who had a comprehensive win over Ballinameen in their pitch on Sunday evening . The team has now qualified for the Division 3A final due to be played next Saturday 9th July against Michael Glaveys in Kiltoom at 2 p.m. . Wishing Erica Margaret Johnny and all the girls the very best of luck. Please support the team on the day.

An under strength Senior ladies team travelled to Johnstown on Saturday for their first championship outing . They managed to stay with Clan for the first half and only trailed by 5 points at half time . However a poor second half performance saw Clan run out easy winners. Their next game in the championship is against Shannon Gaels on Sunday 17th July . Training continues as always and full attendance is expected.

Well done to the u 14 girls who won their first game in the summer league against Oran last Wednesday evening 10-09 to 5-03. They are away to Tulsk on Wednesday for their second game in the league , throw in 6.15 p.m.

Reminding all U 10 , U 8 and U 6 players that training takes place every Monday from 7 to 8 . Gumshields are compulsory and bring a drink!

Minor training has commenced and details of training times will be texted to players . All eligible players are asked to make a special effort to attend in preparation for the upcoming championship.
