Looking for ways to entertain the kids this Summer? Look no further than this post as we round-up details of a wide variety of Summer Camps in Roscommon.
As you’d expect the three main sporting organisations in the country are organising nationwide camps:
Gaelic Games
Sixteen Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps will be held throughout Roscommon with some mainly focussed on Gaelic Football and others mainly focussed on Hurling. The Cost of attending a camp is €55 per child, €100 for two kids from the same family €40 per child after that. Attendees will also receive a Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp gear jersey, training top and backpack. Click here for details of dates and venues.
In addition to hosting a Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camp a number of Clubs are hosting their own Camp.
The St Brigids Cúl Camp runs from from July 11th to 15th and their a multi-activity Camp runs from July 18th to 22nd. Camps run from 9.30am – 2pm daily and the Cost per week is €40 for one child, 2 children €60 and 3 children €80. St Dominics GAA Club are hosting a Summer Camp for members will be held this year from the 8th – 12th August. Further details available from [email protected] .
St Faithleachs GAA Club are also hosting a second Camp. Their Fit Kid Camp from August 8th to 12th. The cost of attendance is €35 per child, €30 for 2nd child and €25 for the 3rd and each additional child. Further details available from [email protected]
Western Gaels GAA Club is hosting a multi-activity Summer Camp from July 18th – 22nd at their grounds in Frenchpark. For bookings or further information contact Dermot via call or text to 087 0536440.
Soccer
FAI Summer Soccer Schools will be held throughout eight venues in Roscommon and East Galway. Attendance at a camp cost just €65 and includes an exclusive kit, backpack, football and certificate plus five days of fun-filled coaching from FAI accredited coaches. There is a €10 discount for the second and subsequent child attending from the same family. Further details of dates and venues here.
Rugby
Connacht Rugby are hosting Camps at 13 Clubs throughout the province including Carrick RFC from July 11th to 15th and Creggs RFC from August 15th to 19th. The cost of a camp is €80 per child and includes a BLK Connacht Rugby Summer Jersey, Connacht Rugby Backpack, Rhino Connacht Rugby Ball and a Junior Match Ticket to a selected game for the following season. Multi-sport Camps
Roscommon Sports Partnership are hosting two Multi-sport Camps in Monksland and one in Roscommon town.
Each camp will involve a wide variety of games, races, sports and activities for all children aged 6 plus. The Cost is €15 for 1 child, €25 for 2 children and €35 for 3 children.
Their Camp for kids with disabilities which was due to be held at the Roscommon Bowling Alley from July 11th – 15th has been cancelled
Indoor Camps
In light of the mixed weather conditions which we “enjoy” during the summer you may be considering indoor activities.
Roscommon Arts Centre has a fantastic line up of summer camps for kids aged 4+ this July and August. Whether its singing, dancing, drama or Lego they may have just the summer activity for someone you know! Click here for full details
“Starcamp” will be held at CBS Roscommon, from August 2nd to 6th. The week-long camp for boys and girls aged 4-12 are designed to teach performance and build confidence amongst those taking part through song, dance, drama and games. Further information can be found by visiting www.starcamp.ie
