St Barrys 0-6 Ballinameen 3-14

Our Adult Ladies played the 1st Round of the Junior Championship yesterday evening (Sunday) in Ballinameen. Unfortunately, they were well beaten by a physically stronger home side. Ballinameen started strong, and led the game from start to finish. The St Barry’s defence held out well, inspired by a string of fine saves from Player of the Match Rebecca Cox. St Barrys grew into the game, but unfortunately couldn’t turn possession into the scores they deserved. The girls worked hard hard throughout, and never gave up against last year’s beaten finalists in this competition. The Girls play St Faithleach’s on July 17th.
SQUAD: Rebecca Cox, Shauna Rogan, Michelle Cahill, Rhiannon Cox, Jane McGowan(0-1) , Aoife McLoughlin(0-1), Geraldine Farrell, Meabh Holmes(0-1), Denise Bennett, Lisa Murtagh (0-3), Jaimie Fallon, Shauna Murphy, Nadine Murphy, Claire McGlynn, Mollie Fisher, Laurna Cahill.

Adult Men’s Team

Our Adult Mens team played twice in the Division 4 League last weekend. We were beaten by Strokestown 3-13 to 3-9 on Friday, before beating Boyle on Sunday morning by 3-15 to 2-5.

Under 14s

Our Under 14 Boys were well beaten by Kilbride in the first round of the Championship on Thursday last.

Roscommon Minors

Well done to the Roscommon Minor team who beat Sligo in the Connacht Championship last weekend. St Barry’s Pauric Halpin featured in the Roscommon team, who have a quick turnaround, facing Galway on this Wednesday night. Good luck lads!
