Carrick RFC held their AGM in the Bush Hotel on June 14th. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the achievements and progress made in the club during the 2015/2016 season and outline the direction the club will take in 2016/2017. Officers elected on the night were – Honorary President – Peter Layden, Honorary Secretary – Aoife Kelly, Honorary Treasurer – Bryan Kelly, Assistant Treasurers – Aiden Lenehan and Maeve Lenehan, Child Protection Officer – Maeve Lenehan. Connacht Branch delegate – Sean McKeown, Youths Branch delegate – Stephen King and Mini’s Branch delegate – Aidan Lenehan.

Carrick RFC Summer Tag Rugby week 3

Our Summer Tag Rugby continues this Thursday evening June 16th at 7.15 PM at the Showground’s, Boyle Road. This is while pitch maintenance work continues at Carrick RFC grounds in Castlecarra. Matches this week are 7.15 – Game of Tries vs Globogym Purple Cobras.
Pitch 2 – Al Try-Eda vs Kiltaggers 8.00 Hakuna Matatagga vs God Loves a Tryer, Pitch 2 – How I Tagged your Mother vs Bye.

Connacht Rugby Summer Camp

Following on from the success of the 2015 Connacht Rugby Summer Carrick RFC will host this year’s summer camp from July 11th to 15th. Your child will have the opportunity to learn new rugby skills, enhance their talents and meet new friends in a safe and fun environment. The camps are open to all levels of rugby, and no experience is required. All coaches are qualified and each camp will be attended by a professional player from Connacht Rugby. Minis can register on here while youths can register to the Excellence camp here.
