This week’s Mid-Western Girls Soccer League activity focused on Club games and the following is a round-up of the games.
In the M2 Sport Under 10 League Castlerea Celtic and Kilkerrin United played a close, exciting game on Friday evening. Hannah Morrissey was on target for Kilkerrin.
Ballaghaderreen put in a strong performance against Glen Celtic with Leigha Hamilton, Ava McGreal and Katie Freeman all excelling. Emer Keane was on target for Glen.
In the Westward Scania Under 12 League, Castlerea Lions are top of the table following their third successive win. They defeated an unlucky Glen Celtic 8-2 thanks to goals from Clodagh Diggins (3), Kelus Curran (2), Katie Freeman (2) & Ellie Mulrennan.
Kilkerrin United defeated an under-strength Dunmore Town side in the Geraghty Travel Under 14 League. Samantha Fahy, Grace Coneran, Caitlin Boyle, Emer Fallon, Kate Thornton, Ciara Boyle, Ciara Martin & Áine Shaughnessy were all on target for Kilkerrin while Caoimhe O’Rourke scored for Dunmore.
