New Parish Priest for Castlerea, Kilgefin, Kiltoom, Roscommon and Tulsk

Bishop of Elphin Kevin Doran has announced a number of diocesan appointments and parish priest transfers affecting parishes in County Roscommon.

Very Rev Canon Eugene McLoughlin, who is retiring as Parish Priest VF of Roscommon, is set to be the Administrator of Athleague and Fuerty; a position which became vacant on the death of Very Rev John Leogue PP.
Very Rev John Cullen, Parish Priest in Kiltoom will be the new Parish Priest for Roscommon. He will be succeeded by Rev Michael McManus who is currently CC Athlone (Drum).
Rev Kazimir Wrobel (Archdiocese of Katowice, Poland), the current CC in Athleague and Fuerty will move to the same role in CC Athlone (Drum). These changes will come into effect on July 31st.

Very Rev Canon Joseph Fitzgerald PP is retiring as Parish Priest of Castlerea. He will reside in Ballygar and join the parish team at Sacred Heart Parish, Roscommon. Very Rev John McManus, current Parish Priest of Kilgefin (Ballyleague) will be the new Castlerea PP. Rev Dusmanta Mahanyak (Archdiocese of Cuttack Bhubaneswar, India), current CC of St. Mary’s, Sligo, is set to be Administrator Kilgefin (Ballyleague). These changes will come into effect on July 31st.

Rev John Gannon (Archdiocese of Johannesburg), will be the new PP of Tulsk, effective from 15th July. This role became vacant on the death of Monsignor Austin McKeon.

Rev Tomasz Grzegorzewski SDB is taking sabbatical leave and has resigned as PP of Aughrim and Kilmore. Rev Stephen Ezenwegbu (Diocese of Awka, Nigeria), is set to be Administrator of Aughrim and Kilmore effective from July 31st.
